We encourage parents to stay with their child during the examination. Hygiene appointments provide a wonderful opportunity for parents to discuss their concerns with the hygienist and doctor.
We look forward to these educational and informative discussions to assist you and your child in maintaining excellent oral health. We do ask that you allow your child to focus on our staff through the dental experience.
We are all highly experienced in helping children overcome anxiety and teaching positive oral health habits.
If further dental care is needed, the doctor and hygienists will discuss treatment options with you. We understand that many parents are very anxious about dental care and this is often passed on to children.
Because of parental anxiety, we prefer children to receive dental care without the parent present.
That being said, it is very important to us that you are comfortable with the care we will provide for your child. If you prefer to accompany your child for dental treatment we most certainly will allow you to do so.
It is very important that you let us know that you would like to be present for their treatment prior to when the appointment is scheduled. We do have some helpful guidelines for you to follow, while in the treatment room, that we will need to discuss in advance.
It is our goal that your child will have a happy visit to establish trust and confidence that will last a lifetime.
