Dr. Baker, featured this June 2018 in the Texas Health Steps Newsletter, talks about the importance of establishing a First Dental Home,a child's first dental checkup, parent education to reduce decay and more.
Dr. Baker is known for her work with patients with ankylogossia also known as tongue-tie. In the article, she addresses the difficulty this can cause with latching during breast feeding, speech difficulties, and even developmental and behavioral growth in children. With the use of soft tissue lasers, it makes the procedure known as a frenectomy, safer and less invasive. It is virtually painless and children nursing can resume so almost immediately.
